History

The NBDGA was formed to improve and maintain our community course for the enjoyment of all disc golfers.

Our course was designed and created by Ray Hays, our city’s Public Works Director, and Erik Anderson, a resident and avid disc golfer.  They worked together on the layout and acquiring and installing the baskets and tees.

North Bonneville is a friendly community and was very receptive when approached by Ray and Erik with their request to build a disc golf course on city property. The park-like setting is perfect and the city’s existing trail system blends perfectly with the course layout.

The rest of the city’s PW crew are also involved with maintaining our course. Bryan Henrichsen, Steve Hickey and James Brown put a lot of effort into keeping our course in great shape and can often be found playing themselves, on their off time of course.

The First Annual North Bonneville Disc Golf Tournament, held on July 13, 2008, drew 34 competitors from as far away as La Grande, with Portland, Vancouver, Hood River and The Dalles also represented. Future tournaments promise more entrants and an even better time for everyone.

History is made every day and we invite you to come out and add to ours.
