18th Hole

The North Bonneville disc golf course started life as a 9-holer and was originally known as Shady Oaks. After  having the course to ourselves for about a year, a few local fanatics thought it would be fun to put on a tournament in order to introduce the course to  our fellow disc golfers. With some creative tweaking and a lot of help from our city’s Public Works Department, we were able to accomplish our goal in time to host our first tournament on July 13, 2008. We renamed the course to reflect its location and help newcomers find it more easily.

The North Bonneville disc golf course offers beautiful views of both sides of the Columbia River Gorge  and a challenging layout with interesting hazards including blackberries and the infamous gorge winds, all in a relaxing, small town setting.

There are scorecards located on the Northeast corner of the City Hall building (near the South end of the parking lot), right below the awesome course map provided by Ray Hays, our PW Director.  Ray and his  crew have been invaluable in setting up and maintaining the course.  They’ve added benches and trash cans in key locations to make our disc golfing experience more enjoyable and mow our fairways so our rollers get good yardage.  We ask that you help us show our appreciation for their efforts by disposing of trash properly and treating the course respectfully.

We do have a few patches of poison oak, particularly around the 14th basket and 15th tee area, so keep an eye out for it.  We are working to eradicate it, but poison oak is tougher to kill than Arnie in the first Terminator movie.

We also recommend marking your discs with your personal contact information just in case one of our disc eating blackberry bushes manages to pull a David Copperfield on you.  We often find lost discs and always make every effort to reunite them with their owners.

The City of North Bonneville requires dogs be kept on leash at all times and that their owners pick up after they make deposits.  Your fellow disc golfers will also appreciate not stepping in any land mines, so please help keep it clean.

We hope you enjoy playing at North Bonn and welcome your feedback on how we can improve the experience.
